The Langone Framework

A Cognitive Framework for Meaning, Perception and Brand Culture.

I use the Langone Framework to read, design and transform the way people experience brands, spaces and systems.

It’s a cognitive architecture that connects meaning, perception and behavior – so that what a brand says and what people actually feel become the same thing.

What Is the Langone Framework?

The Langone Framework is a cognitive model I developed to understand how humans construct meaning, emotionally encode experiences and translate them into behavior.
Instead of treating branding, campaigns, HR or entertainment as separate disciplines, the framework looks at them as one interconnected experience system.

It helps answer questions like:

  • What do people really internalize from what we do?

  • Why do some experiences leave an imprint and others vanish?

  • How can we design cultures, not just touchpoints or messages?

The Langone Framework is my answer to that need – a way to bring engineering clarity into human experience design.

How the Framework Works

At its core, the Langone Framework looks at every brand or system through three interacting layers:

  1. Meaning Architecture
    What the system really means.

  • Symbols, language and narratives that carry the brand’s cultural code

  • The tensions, promises and positions that define its identity

  • How meaning is encoded in stories, rituals and artifacts

2. Perception & Experience
How people actually live it.

  • How experiences are sequenced and framed

  • Emotional and cognitive signals people receive at each step

  • Which moments become imprints – and which are noise

3. Systems & Culture
How behavior and structures sustain it.

  • Roles, rules and informal dynamics that keep the experience alive

  • How teams make decisions and embody the narrative

  • Feedback loops that reinforce (or damage) the desired culture

The framework works like a map of connections: change one element, and you see how it affects meaning, perception and behavior across the system.

Where I Apply It

I use the Langone Framework as a backbone across very different contexts:

  • Brand Architecture & Experience Strategy
Designing brands as living cultural systems, not just logos and campaigns.

  • Hospitality & Tourism
Turning hotels, resorts and destinations into coherent experience ecosystems.

  • Entertainment & Nightlife
From clubs and venues to holiday villages – designing experiences that people remember, not just nights they attend.

  • HR, Leadership & Internal Culture
Aligning teams, rituals, spaces and communication so that culture is not a slogan, but a lived reality.

  • Content & Narrative Design
Building stories, formats and touchpoints that reinforce a clear cognitive structure.

The Book: From Framework to Field Manual

’m currently turning the Langone Framework into a full book – a mix of theory, visual models and field cases from hospitality, entertainment, branding and human systems.

The book will cover:

  • the cognitive principles behind the framework

  • visual maps to understand meaning, perception and experience

  • practical applications for brand leaders, creatives, strategists and hospitality owners

  • case stories from real projects where the framework shaped strategy and execution

This mockup shows the working cover of the book.
The content is in active development and will be released in stages: internal notes, pre-release versions and finally a complete edition.

If you’d like to be notified when the first pre-release edition is available, leave me a message with “Langone Framework – book” in the subject.

Who It’s For

Who the Langone Framework Is For

The framework is designed for people who are responsible for how others experience something:

  • founders and brand leaders

  • CMOs, experience and innovation directors

  • hospitality and venue owners

  • HR and culture leaders

  • strategists, creatives and consultants working on complex systems.

If your work goes beyond “making a campaign” and into shaping how humans live, feel and remember, the Langone Framework gives you a language and a structure to do it more consciously.

Let’s Talk About Your System

If you’re curious about applying the Langone Framework to your brand, venue or organization, we can start with a conversation.
I don’t sell a “template”; I use the framework to read your specific system and design what makes sense for your context.
